Ruth Z. Yuste Alonso will be presenting at the 47th Annual NEMLA National Convention on Thursday, March 17th. This event will take place in Hartford, CT. Her paper on the Ecuadorian writer, Marietta de Veintemilla, will explore the autobiographical tone of her essay "Madame Roland" and discuss the use of genre and the recourse of the revolutionary figure Madame Roland as a rhetorical means to claim a place in the history of Ecuador.

Ruth Z. Yuste Alonso presentará en la 47ª Convención anual de NEMLA este jueves 17 de marzo. El encuentro tendrá lugar en Hartford (Connecticut, Estados Unidos). Su ponencia versará sobre la escritora ecuatoriana, Marietta de Veintemilla, y discutirá el tono autobiográfico del ensayo "Madame Roland" y el uso del género del ensayo y la figura de la revolucionaria francesa como recursos retórico para reclamar un lugar en la historia de Ecuador.
